11 Pachayappa's College students suspended

CHENNAI, MARCH 24. Eleven students of Pachayappa's College for Men were suspended by the college administration on Thursday for damaging college property. Six others from the same college were also detained by police for causing damage to public property.

According to police, the students went rioting within the college premises and damaged portions of the canteen after `bus day' celebrations.

Earlier in the day, Elephant Gate police detained six students who climbed atop MTC buses.
