Court quashes order to suspend ACP

By Our Legal Correspondent

HYDERABAD, MARCH 24. A Division Bench of Andhra Pradesh High Court comprising of Justice G. Bikshpathy and Justice P.S. Narayana on Thursday quashed the suspension order of the ACP, P. Chandra Mouli.

The bench while allowing a writ petition filed by Mr. Chandra Mouli termed the suspension order as not bona fide and was passed for certain extraneous reasons tainted with inferential malafide. The bench asked the office of the DGP and the CP to pay up Rs. 10,000 for passing such an impugned order.

Mr. Chandra Mouli who was ACP, Banjara Hills, was suspended for serious lapses in the case of cine star Balakrishna. The petitioner contended that neither was he an investigating officer nor was he in any way connected with the Balakrishna case.
