Power shutdown

COIMBATORE, MARCH 24. There will be no power supply in the following places on March 26 from 9 am to 5 pm owing to shutdown of Coimbatore sub-station for maintenance work: Saibaba Colony, NSR Road North and South, part of Kavundampalayam, Home Science College, Telephone Exchange, Murugan Mill, KK Pudur, Forest College, Mettupalayam Road, Flower Market, Brook Bond, Somasundara Mills, CSW Mill, Patel Road, Kattoor, Ram Nagar, VOC Park, part of Avinashi Road, Dr. Nanjappa Road, Alagesan Road, Bharathi Park Road 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 and Bharathi Park Main Road I and II, part of Avarampalayam, part of Rathinapuri, Lakshmipuram, Gandhipuram, Tatabad, Sivananda Colony, Alamu Nagar, Siddhapudur Electric Crematorium Road, PN Palayam, GKNM Hospital, Residency Hotel, Police Hospital, President Hall, DBF Road, RV Hotels, Bharathiar Road, X-Cut Road, 100 Feet Road, Nanjappa Road, Nehru Stadium, The Hindu, Dhinathandhi, Lakshmi Mills, part of Kamadenu Nagar, part of AN Layout, part of Siva Sakthi Colony, Gandhi Nagar, Anna Nagar and Ganapathy town.

Course

The Samskritha Bharathy will conduct a three-month Samskritha course from March 28. The course will be held from Monday to Friday at Chinmaya Vidyalaya (RS Puram), Suburban Matriculation Higher Secondary School (Ramnagar), ALG Matriculation Higher Secondary School (Damu Nagar) and Chintamani Nagar (Saibaba Colony). The curriculum includes slokas, epics, stories and songs. Those aged above 13 can participate. For those who have completed the first stage, the second stage course will commence on March 28 at the Chinmaya Vidyalaya. Kumbabishekam

The Kumbabishekam of Arulmigu Selva Vinayagar Temple at Aruna Nagar, Vadamadurai, will be performed on March 27. Special pujas will be held from March 26.

Eye camp

Sri Sathya Sai Seva Samithi, Aravind Eye Hospital and Coimbatore District Blindness Control Society will conduct an eye camp at the Thondumuthur Panchayat Union Primary School on March 27.
