Power fails for the second day
On Wednesday, mechanical faults in a 500 KVA transformer near the Peroorkada junction had disrupted power supply to many nearby areas for more than six hours. Though KSEB officials repeatedly tried to charge the transformer, they failed. Normal power supply to these areas was restored only after 9 p.m. that day. The faulty transformer is yet to be replaced. KSEB sources said the second transformer had developed a snag today evening due to overloading. Efforts were on to rectify the problem late into the night.
