The city recorded a maximum temperature of 35.4 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 22 degrees Celsius on Thursday. The relative humidity was 22 per cent.

At the airport, the maximum temperature was 33.8 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature was 21.4 degrees Celsius. The relative humidity was 23 per cent.

The forecast for Friday is: the sky will be mainly clear and the maximum temperature will be around 35 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature 22 degrees Celsius.

Training

Bangalore University is offering a one-year ``Library Apprentice Trainees", programme. Interested candidates with a B.Lib, M.Lib or diploma holders in library sciences with second class may apply for the programme. During the training, students will be paid a stipend of Rs. 3,500 per month. Interested individuals can send their applications to the Registrar of Bangalore University before March 30.

Biotechnology

The University Grants Commission's Staff College is conducting an all-India orientation programme and refresher course in biotechnology on March 28.
