Harbhajan's best against Pakistan

** Younis Khan (267) went past Inzamam-ul-Haq's 184 which was the previous highest individual score at this ground and Saeed Anwar's unbeaten 188 (at Kolkata in February 1999) — the previous best score by a Pakistani on Indian soil.

** He also went past his previous highest Test score of 153 made against West Indies at Sharjah in February 2002.

** The fourth wicket stand of 84 runs between Younis Khan and Yousuf Youhana betters Pakistan's best for this wicket at Bangalore — the 60 between Mudassar Nazar and Wasim Raja in November 1979.

** Pakistan's 570 was the highest made by any team at this ground. India had made 541 for six declared against Sri Lanka in January 1979. It was also Pakistan's highest score on Indian soil bettering the 496 for nine declared at Mohali, in the first match of this series.

** Harbhajan's six for 152 was his best figures against Pakistan in four matches. He now has 199 Test wickets.

** This was the only third occasion Anil Kumble (none for 159) has gone wicket-less while conceding over 100-plus runs, in fact, his worst performance in Test cricket. He had none for 136 against South Africa at Cape Town, January 1997, and none for 126 against Australia at Sydney, January 2000. — Mohandas Menon
