Broadband: BSNL asks for details

COIMBATORE, MARCH 25 . Those who have sought broadband connections in the city should send the details regarding the broadband plan opted for and preferred user name, to the office of the concerned Commercial Officer (South/North) at the Telephone Exchange building in Ram Nagar. The areas for which the details are being sought from applicants are: Main Exchange E10B beginning with levels 220, 221, Central Exchange (238 and 239 levels), Central RSU (230 level), Race Course EWSD RSU 222 level, Ganapathy (253 level), Kurichi 267, Kuniamuthur (225 level), Raja Street (230, 238, 239 level), Tatatabad II (252 level), Sai Baba Colony (243,244 and 245), R.S. Puram (254, 255 levels), Bharathiar University (242 level), TVS Nagar (240 level), Periayanickenpalayam (269 level), Gandhipark (247 level) and Thudialur (264 level).

This would enable the BSNL to issue necessary demand note. On payment of the demand note, broadband connections would be provided on first-come-first-serve basis. In other areas, broadband connections would be released shortly.

Festival offer

BSNL has come up with two Holi festival offers for its customers. Those who book for a basic telephone connection (in areas where the phone connections are available on demand) before March 31, will get a free India Telephone Card worth Rs. 500 at the time of payment of the first telephone bill.

Similarly, during this period the Excel prepaid Cellular recharge coupon of Rs. 500 would carry full talk-time. These coupons should be activated on or before March 31.

Subscribers coming under the telephone exchanges at Mettuppalayam, Udumalpet (Short Distance Charging Area) and Anaimalai, Periapodu, Sethumadai and Ganapathipalayam could dial the toll free number 19622 for information relating to meter readings. This is a non-metered service available since March 15.
