BV Biologicals to reform animal health care practices

HYDERABAD, MARCH 26. Venkateshwara Hatcheries' new venture, B. V. Biologicals, expects to reform animal healthcare practices not only with technologically advanced products but also with specific molecular diagnostic tools and therapeutics, according to Anuradha J. Desai, Chairperson of the VH Group.

The company reinvented major innovative projects to enrich animal health care systems with an investment of more than Rs. 30 crores. New infrastructure was being created in 13 cities to facilitate disease surveillance and monitoring with advanced diagnostic facilities.

O. P. Singh, Chief Executive Officer, Vaccine and AHP division of Venkateswara Hatcheries, said significant investment was in the pipeline to produce novel vaccines and biotherapeutics for child and adult immunisation. Its major area of focus would be in the protein drug sector, he said.
