CHENNAI, MARCH 26. A man, who posed as a biryani trader, was arrested for selling utensils he rented from shops in North Chennai in the second-hand market. According to Flower Bazaar police, A. Nawaz, a resident of Srinivasapillai Street in George Town, posing as a cook undertook bulk orders for marriages and functions. He rented utensils from shops at Royapuram, Washermanpet, North Beach and Seven Wells and sold them in second-hand market. On a complaint from utensil dealers, a special team, set up by Flower Bazaar police, arrested Nawaz was arrested today and utensils worth Rs. 4 lakhs recovered. Charges have been filed for criminal breach of trust.
