HYDERABAD, MARCH 26. Manisha Sahay of the city who is one of the 56 medicos to win a gold medal at the 11th convocation of the National Board of Examinations (NBE) held at the Shilpa Kalavedika on Satuday, is visibly delighted at her distinction. The doctor is also happy that she received the medal at the hands of the Governor, S.K.Shinde, at the largest-ever NBE convocation held so far. Dr. Sahay, who is assistant professor in nephrology, Osmania Hospital, belonged to the 2003 batch. She was awarded the Dr. H.L.Trivedi Gold Medal for Nephrology. She said that she would take up paediatric nephrology, with emphasis on teaching as also practice. Her husband, Rakesh, is an endocrinologist in the hospital. How does she view the degree awarded by the NBE. "It is the highest degree which is similar to that given in the West."
