RANCHI, MARCH 27. At least five more persons--three from BJP and two from JD (U)--are to be inducted in Arjun Munda Ministry in Jharkhand when it is expanded on March 29. The decision to expand the ministry was taken tonight at a meeting of ruling NDA held at the Chief Minister's residence tonight. Munda replied in the affirmative when asked by reporters whether three from BJP and two from its ally JD (U) would be inducted in the ministry whose current strength is six. Asked who would be the new entrants into the ministry, Munda said ``you would know on the D-day''. The new ministers would be sworn at 5.30 pm at Raj Bhavan. It remains to be seen whether NCP MLA Kamlesh Singh, whose name had figured during the March 12 swearing-in ceremony of Munda government, is also inducted on Tuesday, making it 12, very much within the Constitutional limit on the size of the ministry. Singh had taken oath as one of the ministers on March two when JMM chief Shibu Soren was was sworn in as Chief Minister at the head of UPA Government. Singh is yet to take oath as MLA. He, along with Enos Ekka, is in the eye of storm as the opposition has been demanding disqualification of both Singh and Ekka as MLAs. The Munda Ministry now comprises Sudesh Mahto, Madhu Kora, Enos Ekka, Chandra Prakash Choudhuri and Hari Narain Rai besides the Chief Minister himself. Portfolios are yet to be distributed among the ministers. - PTI
