14 protesters held in Nepal
KATHMANDU,
MARCH 27.
Fourteen activists of the Nepali Congress, including two former Ministers, were arrested today from here and Chitawan district as they staged anti-King rallies defying the Government ban on demonstrations.
Seven activists, including the former Ministers, Mahadev Gurung and Pushkar Ojha, were arrested from the Ratnapark area of Kathmandu when they held demonstrations against the royal takeover, Nepali Congress sources said.
The protesters shouted slogans, demanding restoration of democracy and civil rights and waved party flags along with dozens of others before police arrested them. PTI
