Alter train

timings

Sir, _ It is good that the Andhra Pradesh Sampark Kranthi Express between Secunderabad and Hazrat Nizamuddin has been introduced solely to cater to the needs of the twin cities and a few pockets of Telangana. But the arrival of the train at Nizamuddin at 10.40 p.m. (if it arrives on right time), is inconvenient to commuters. It is therefore requested that the timings of the train maybe revised, fixing the hour of departure at Secunderabad at 2.30 pm and arrival at Nizamuddin on the following day at 4.40 pm.

Provide

pantry car

Sir,_ I thank the railways for running summer special from Hyderabad to Bikaner from April 17 to June 16. I request the railways to provide a pantry car in the above train because the journey time is close to 45 hours. Further, the train No. 7037/7038 Secunderabad - Bikaner Express may be also made to run from the Hyderabad station for the convenience of the travelling public. I also request the Railway Authorities to provide a halt to the above trains at Marwar-Mundwa.

Will the PMO

respond?

Sir,_ Following the appeal of the Prime Minister published in all newspapers to donate generously to the `Prime Minister's National Relief Fund' in order to help tsunami victims, I, a Government pensioner, sent an amount of Rs.5,000/- through DD No. 855125 dated 04.01.2005 issued by Andhra bank, Mehdipatnam Branch, by registered post from Humayun Nagar post office to "P.M.N.R.F., Prime Minister's Office South Block, New Delhi 110 011."

But, even after the lapse of two months no receipt has been received from the PM's office,. I also sent reminder letter (post card) to PMNRF on 6.2.2005, but there has been no response so far. I only wish and pray that the D.D. has not been encashed by someone.

Shift

RTC depot

Sir,_ The bus depot at Dilsukhnagar is not able to cope up with the traffic and also there is heavy vehicular congestion at the entrance which is aggravated by incoming and outgoing buses. Therefore the APSRTC Authorities may consider shifting the Dilsukhnagar bus depot beyond Kothapet.

Baru Rajendra Prasad,

Ramakrishna Puram

Regulate traffic

Sir,_ The other day, I was driving towards Secunderabad on the Medchal highway at considerable speed. Suddenly, a fuel tanker appeared right opposite me driving from the wrong side. This is not an isolated case. RTC buses regularly ply on the wrong side. In the last two months, there have been at least two head-on collisions and several other minor accidents. Yet, the traffic police fail to check this violation.

Dr. Prabhakar Korada,

Ghanpur, Medchal

Unused

bus shelter

Sir,_ A bus shelter was constructed some time back adjacent to ADR Hospital on Anand Bagh Road. However, none of the buses coming from ECIL/Moulali stop at the bus shelter. I hope the RTC authorities will initiate measures to ensure that the buses halt at this stage.

Peerless policy

holder's plea

Sir,_ I am a policy holder in Peerless General Finance and Insurance Co., bearing No. MC/911/02/04-05/14620. I took the policy from Kancharla Towers branch for Rs.4,100. It matured on 6.2.2005. I have lost the policy document because of which I am required to file an affidavit issued by the notary. I request the peerless authorities to repay my deposit with the maturity value for which I shall be extremely thankful.

K. Manohari,

Purani Haveli
