Isolated rain in Tamil Nadu

CHENNAI, MARCH 28. Isolated rainfall occurred over Tamil Nadu and Kerala and dry weather prevailed over Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Lakshaweep.

On Sunday, the maximum temperature fell appreciably at one or two places over north coastal Tamil Nadu, rose markedly at one or two places over interior Tamil Nadu, rose at one or two places over rest Tamil Nadu and changed little elsewhere over the region. They were appreciably above normal at a few places over Tamil Nadu, at one or two places over south coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, Kerala, above normal at a few places over south interior Karnataka, at one or two places over Telangana, rest Rayalaseema, coastal Karnataka, rest Tamil Nadu, rest Kerala and were generally normal over the rest of the region. Kurnool and Nandyal recorded the highest maximum temperature of 41 degree Celsius in the region. The minimum temperature rose appreciably to markedly at one or two places over Telangana and Tamil Nadu.

FORECAST (valid until Wednesday morning): Isolated rain or thundershowers are likely to occur over Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry and Kerala. Mainly dry weather will prevail over Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Lakshadweep.
