BANGALORE, MARCH 28. An anonymous call that bombs have been planted in the main office of ICICI Bank, off Mayo Hall, on Commissariat Road caused panic among the bank employees on Monday. The police said that around 10.45 a.m., Kavitha, a receptionist at the bank, received a call that bombs have been planted on the 2nd and 6th floors of the eight-storey building which houses the bank. As word spread, the employees rushed out and work at the bank was affected for some time, the police said. On being alerted, the Ashoknagar police rushed to the bank with tracker dogs and the bomb detection squad. The police searched all the eight floors of the building and found no explosives. The call, which was made from a coin phone booth in Krishnaraja Puram, turned out to be a hoax, the police said.
