Children stage dharna for `kidnapped' mother
By Our Staff Reporter
GUNTUR,
MARCH 28.
The children of Boppuri Anjamma, who was `kidnapped' from her house near Chilakaluripet, staged a dharna on Monday in front of the house of the Minister for Cooperation, Kanna Lakshmi Narayana, seeking immediate release of their mother.
Her three children shouted slogans against the police alleging that their father, Lakshmaiah, was killed in a fake encounter and that the police had kidnapped their mother.
The Minister was away in Hyderabad attending the Assembly session.
Some unidentified persons picked up Anjamma, widow of Boppuri Lakshmaiah, Guntur district AIPRF treasurer, on Friday at 11.10 p.m. from her house in Ganapavaram, 3 km from Chilakaluripet in the district.
