Gopala Krishna, Superintendent of Police, told a press conference here on Monday that the night patrols set up at Tirupati and Chittoor were working well in preventing robberies and added that such patrols would also be established soon at Palamaner, Madanapalle and Srikalahasti. One SI at the circle level, a CI at the sub-division level and DSP at the district level will monitor the night patrols. Traffic would be regulated at Tirupati by setting up timers and other signboards, the SP said. There was good response to `Sannihitham' started at the district police office in January.
