Letters to the Editor
Sir, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's representation to the U.S. authorities on the denial of visa to Narendra Modi is disheartening. The UPA Government has not been able to ensure justice to even one victim of the Gujarat riots. The manner in which the trial is proceeding in the Best Bakery case bears testimony to the insecurity of the survivors who made an attempt to get justice.
A. Digu,
Sir, When hundreds were butchered in Gujarat, Mr. Modi did not seem to care about the pride, prestige and swabhiman of Gujarat.
Ch. Venkateswara Rao,
R. Vivekanandan,
Sir, The NHRC has conveniently ignored the cause the Godhra carnage and railed at the consequence: the riots. The riots were not Mr. Modi's doing.
J. Vani,
