Schiavo's case

Sir, — Euthanasia literally means `good death.' But in the case of Terri Schiavo, is not a quick end to suffering in pain better than a lingering death?

If euthanasia is ever legalised, it is better to use lethal injections than adopt passive methods, which make the condition of patients more pathetic.
