`Coming months crucial for development' YSR asks officials to get cracking
By Our Special Correspondent
HYDERABAD,
MARCH 28.
Identifying next three months as a crucial phase in the development of the State, the Chief Minister, Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy, has directed officials to go the extra mile now to lay a firm foundation for a prosperous State (Harithaandrapradesh).
Reviewing the Tatipudi-Pushkaram work here on Monday, Dr. Reddy asked officials to rededicate themselves to irrigation projects at the crucial juncture as the process of tenders had been completed.
Internal benchmarking
In order to eliminate excess rates while bidding for tenders, an internal benchmarking was also being followed to arrive at line estimates of projects. He clarified that the Government was giving only 5 per cent of total cost of the mobilisation advance as against 10 per cent given by the previous TDP regime.
