HYDERABAD, MARCH 28. A 1,000-strong police force will be deployed for the cricket match between India (A team) and Pakistan to be played at the HCA International Cricket Stadium at Uppal on March 30. "Keeping in view the past experiences, detailed planning has been made in partnership with the Hyderabad Cricket Association for seating arrangements, access points, security checks and parking places," the Cyberabad Police Commissioner, M. Mahendar Reddy, said on Monday. Giving details of the arrangements, he said the entire stadium would be divided into six zones/galleries for seating. Each gallery would have a different colour code for tickets, car pass and parking space. "Spectators will have to park their vehicles in the allotted parking place as specified on the ticket/pass. They will have to choose the appropriate route as indicated in the signages erected along the routes."
Bar code on tickets
The tickets issued had invisible security features and were tamper proof and therefore cannot be duplicated. It also had a bar code. Anyone trying to get in with duplicate tickets would be detected without any difficulty and arrested. Checking of tickets would be done at two levels, one at the outer entry at the compound wall and the second at the entry into the stadium. Those checking the tickets would be provided with special equipment and turnstiles for verifying the genuineness of the tickets. Door Frame Metal Detectors and Hand Held Metal Detectors would be used at all access points. Anti-Sabotage check of the entire stadium and surrounding areas would be carried out. Frisking and checking was mandatory at all points. The Quick Reaction Teams will also be deployed besides armed policemen.
Prohibited articles
Plastic glasses, water bottles, music instruments, lighters, matches, fire crackers, mirrors and other articles which can be used as missiles were strictly prohibited into the stadium. Only one person per ticket would have access into the stadium and entry of children of any age without ticket was strictly prohibited. Tickets were being sold at 10 eSeva centres -- Banjara Hills, Marredpally, Khairtabad, Malakpet, Darul-Shifa, Rethibowli, Bahadurpura, Habsiguda, Paradise and Ramanthapur.
