Man ends life

The owner of New Vigneshwara Transport at Budwel, Vijay Kumar Agarwal (50), reportedly slit his throat on his office premises under the Rajendranagar police limits on Sunday evening.

His employees, who found him unconscious and bleeding profusely, rushed him to Osmania Hospital where he was declared brought dead.

Boy run over

A class three student, Arif Khan (9), died on the spot after an auto-rickshaw hit him while he was crossing the road near his residence at Sai Baba Nagar in Kapra on Sunday evening. He was the son of Rayees Khan, a vegetable vendor. The Kushaiguda police registered a case.

Electrocuted

Eight-year-old Mohammed Wajid of Balanagar died after he came in contact with high tension wires while he was plucking flowers on Monday morning. He was a UKG student and son of Mohammed Siraj, a lorry driver.

In another case, an employee in a private factory, Srinivas (35), died after he reportedly came in contact with a high-tension wire while working in the factory on Monday.

Body fished out

The body of a rag picker, G. Jangaiah (25) was fished out from Palle Cheruvu at Mylardevulapally at Rajendranagar on Monday. The police said that Jangaiah along with his friends went to Palle Cheruvu for a dip after playing Holi on March 26. He is believed to have drowned. Jangaiah was a resident of Amjadullah Colony.

Charred to

death

An autorickshaw driver, B. Nagaraj (25), died and his wife B. Latha is in a serious condition, after Latha set herself afire and caught hold of her husband, at their residence at Ramnagar on Sunday. Family disputes are stated to be the reason behind the extreme step. The Musheerabad police are investigating.

Found dead

A student, Krishna (24) of Lalithabagh in Uppuguda, was found murdered at his residence on Monday night. He was allegedly stabbed to death by two unidentified persons. The police suspect the involvement of some persons known to the victim.

One held

The Musheerabad police arrested one B. Suryanand of Vanasthalipuram for allegedly harassing and threatening an employee with a software firm.
