GUWAHATI, MARCH 29. The Bharatiya Janata Party has decided to give top priority to Assam among the States going to the polls next year. After a two-day brainstorming session of Assam party leaders, senior BJP leader, Venkaiah Naidu, told reporters here today that his party had decided to go all out to capture power in the 2006 Assembly polls. He said the BJP central leadership had found that the atmosphere in Assam was "most fertile and favourable" for the party to capture power and had decided to prepare for the 2006 Assembly election in right earnest.
