The All India Sanskrit Sahitya Sammelan, which concluded its three-day session in New Delhi on March 29 under the presidentship of the Union Finance Minister, Mr. C.D. The Sammelan decided to open a research institute in Delhi for the advancement of Sanskrit which would form the nucleus of the Sanskrit University. It also appointed a committee of leading scholars to draft a course for the Sanskrit University "appropriate to modern times". The committee is to report within six months. Mr. Deshmukh in his concluding speech said the resolutions passed at the conference were all good. Now the time had come for implementing them.
