CUDDALORE, MARCH 29 . A road side park with an artificial fountain and ornamental lights has been set up at the Jawans' Bhavan buildings, in the heart of the town, at a cost of Rs 6 lakhs. Under the Self-Sufficiency Scheme, the District Rural Development Authority has contributed Rs 4.50 lakhs and the TANFAC Rs 1.50 lakhs. The Collector, Gagandeep Singh Bedi, today inaugurated the park in the presence of the municipal chairman, A.G.Rajendran, the vice-chairman, G.Kumar, the Project Officer (DRDA), D.Jagannathan, and the executive director of TANFAC, Upadhyaya. The TANFAC will maintain the park.
