Speaker reprimands TDLP deputy leader
By Our Special Correspondent
HYDERABAD,
MARCH 29.
Annoyed by certain remarks made by the TDLP deputy leader, N. Janardhan Reddy, the Speaker, K.R. Suresh Reddy, on Tuesday severely reprimanded him, saying that he had crossed all limits of parliamentary decency. "This cannot be tolerated."
Mr. Janardhan Reddy's remarks could not be heard but a visibly angry Speaker was on his feet to admonish the Telugu Desam member saying "you can't dictate to the chair."Reminding the member that he had to request the chair before speaking, Mr. Suresh Reddy said he would not allow such functioning "I will send you a book on parliamentary decency and behaviour."
The issue subsided after the TDP member expressed regret and the Speaker accepted it.
