Allahabad Bank to focus on South
CHENNAI: Allahabad Bank is planning to expand its presence in South India, according to S. K. Goel, Executive Director. Addressing presspersons here on Tuesday in connection with the bank's public issue, he said the bank would open more branches in the South, especially in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka where the business potential was good. The bank would set up a joint venture with Punjab National Bank to start banking operations in Kazakhstan, Mr. Goel said. The issue opens on April 6 and closes on April 12.
