Thundershowers likely over Tamil Nadu

CHENNAI, MARCH 29. Isolated rainfall occurred over Tamil Nadu. Mainly dry weather prevailed over Kerala and dry weather prevailed over Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Lakshadweep.

On Monday, the maximum temperature rose at one or two places over coastal and north interior Karnataka, fell appreciably at one or two places over south coastal Tamil Nadu, fell at one or two places over south Kerala and changed little elsewhere over the region.

They were markedly above normal at one or two places over north interior Tamil Nadu, appreciably above normal at a few places over coastal Tamil Nadu, at one or two places over Andhra Pradesh, coastal and north interior Karnataka, above normal at a few places over rest Tamil Nadu, south interior Karnataka, south coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, at one or two places over rest north interior Karnataka and were generally normal over the rest of the region.

Cuddapah and Ananthapur recorded the highest maximum temperature of 41 degree Celsius in the region.

The minimum temperature fell at one or two places over north interior Karnataka, rose at one or two places over south coastal Tamil Nadu and changed little elsewhere over the region.

They were appreciably above normal at a few places over Tamil Nadu, at one or two places over south Kerala, south interior Karnataka and Rayalaseema.Belgaum Airport recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 19 degree Celsius in the plains of the region.

FORECAST (valid until Thursday morning): Isolated rain or thundershowers are likely to occur over Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Kerala and Lakshadweep. Mainly dry weather will prevail over Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.
