CHENNAI, MARCH 29. Armaan Ebrahim has won the Formula BMW driver scholarship award to the tune of $50,000 for the BMW Asia 2005 championship. Driving for Team E Rain from Korea under the supervision of Patrick Roberts from UK, the 15-year-old Armaan will be the youngest driver in the FIA approved championship. He has also signed a contract with Peter Windsor, ex Williams Formula One promotions manager and Rob Wilson, Bar Honda F1 driver coach for technical management in racing for 2005. Four new youngsters including Armaan were selected for the driver scholarship award from 31 drivers who signed up for the evaluation and license courses held at the new BMW Performance Centre at the Bahrain International Circuit in February 2005.
