Rupee loses further ground
MUMBAI,
MARCH 29.
The rupee today ended at over five-week closing low of 43.8150/9250 a dollar, pulled down by hectic month-end dollar demand amidst receding supplies from foreign funds. A firm dollar overseas also weighed on its value.
In mostly range-bound trading at the interbank foreign exchange market, the rupee ended at 43.8150/8250, sharply lower from Monday's close of 43.78/79 after posting an opening slot of 43.76/78. PTI
