Vikram in sole lead

MANGALORE, MARCH 29. Vikram Saralaya has taken lead at the end of five rounds on day two in the invitational chess tournament conducted by Derik's Chess School here. He overpowered both FIDE Rated Prakash V. Rao and Vishwas Saralaya with 2-0 margin.

Standings after 5th round: 1. Vikram Saralaya 8 (8); 2. Vishwas Saralaya 8 (10); 3. Soumyashree C. Ail 6.5 (10); 4. Prajna D' Silva 5.5 (8); 5. Prakash V. Rao 4.5 (8) and Sanjay J. Rao 4.5 (8), 7. Pallavi Maiya 3.5 (8) and Koushik R 3.5 (10); 9. Sumith Bhat 2.5 (8); 10. Adhithya Jayaram 2 (10) and 11. Alwyn Coelho 1.5 (10).
