HYDERABAD, MARCH 29. Annoyed by certain remarks made by the TDLP deputy leader, N. Janardhan Reddy, the Speaker, K.R. Suresh Reddy, on Tuesday severely reprimanded him, saying that he had crossed all limits of parliamentary decency. "This cannot be tolerated." Mr. Janardhan Reddy's remarks could not be heard but a visibly angry Speaker was on his feet to admonish the Telugu Desam member saying "you can't dictate to the chair. You be in your limits." Reminding the member that he had to request the chair before speaking, Mr. Suresh Reddy said he would not allow such functioning "I will send you a book on parliamentary decency and behaviour." The issue subsided after the TDP member expressed regret and the Speaker accepted it, even as the Finance Minister, Mr. K. Rosaiah, demanded an unconditional apology. The Speaker reprimanded him during question hour when TDP members stalled the proceedings demanding a discussion on alleged corruption in irrigation projects. Even as Mr. Suresh Reddy promised examination of the suggestion to take up the debate, which was listed under Rule 304 after the question hour, Mr. Janardhan Reddy got up to seek mike and made the remarks which angered the Speaker.
