ANANTAPUR, MARCH 29. The AJFCM Court here today reserved decision on the CBI petition seeking custody of G. Suryanarayana Reddy alias Suri for five days in the Paritala Ravindra case to Wednesday. The incharge judge, A.V. Nelson Raj, heard the arguments of the CBI counsel and the defence. The defence lawyer, C. Adisesha Reddy, argued that there was no necessity to hand over Suri to CBI custody as his client was in no way connected to the murder and the case was foisted against him. The counsel for the CBI, Balan, said that all those who were arrested and remanded in the case had taken the name of Suri as conspirator and their statements had been recorded. Meanwhile, the Justice A. Gopal Rao Commission of Inquiry, appointed by the Government to look into the murder of Ravindra, held its sitting here. However, nobody turned up before the commission to give details on the murder. Mr. Justice Gopal Rao later told mediapersons that though affidavits received today were not related to the murder, they would be analysed and the necessary information recorded.
