Urdu Bill faces another hurdle
LUCKNOW,
MARCH 29
. The controversial Bill on setting up of an Urdu University in Uttar Pradesh ran into further complications today with Governor T. V. Rajeswar demanding the deed of the Trust which has been handed over the task of setting up the institution in Rampur.
``Principal Secretary to the Governor Shambu Nath has sent a letter to the State law department demanding the deed of the Trust while examining the private member's Bill passed by State Assembly earlier this month for setting up of Mohd Ali Jauhar Urdu University in private sector,'' Parliamentary Affairs minister Mohd Azam Khan told reporters here.
Releasing the copy of the letter, Mr.Khan termed issuance of the letter by Raj Bhawan as an ``interference with the Constitution and working of Legislature which had duly passed the Bill in this regard''.
