Board student alleges negligence on part of invigilators

GHAZIABAD (UP), MARCH 29. A Class tenth student, who appeared for his Uttar Pradesh Board examinations has complained against his invigilators for allegedly failing to deposit his answer sheets after one of the exams prompting an inquiry by the Meerut district administration. Chandan, a resident of Hastinapur, has alleged in a written complaint to the District Magistrate of Meerut, that on entering his examination hall at a Mawana college on March 23, he found his answersheets for an exam conducted two days back.

The Sub-divisional Magistrate (Mawana), Shishir Kumar, started an inquiry into the incident yesterday, on the orders of the District Magistrate. ``The inquiry will reveal the facts and action will be taken if anyone is found guilty of negligence,'' Mr Kumar said. Meanwhile, examination superintendent, Vijay Prakash Chaturvedi, told reporters here that the student's allegations were baseless.- PTI
