38 qualify as flying instructors

By Our Staff Reporter

CHENNAI, MARCH 29 . The Air Force Station, Tambaram, turned out another batch of 38 flying instructors at the end of 24 weeks training culminating in the 118th Qualified Flying Instructors Course graduation ceremony.

Air Marshal S.K. Malik, Vice-Chief of Air Staff, reviewed the ceremony. He said officers in the Air Force should inculcate safe flying habits, sense of self-discipline and correct ethos into the budding pilots. This would lead to a more professional Air Force and a reduced accident rate, he said.

Air Marshal Malik also presented awards to meritorious instructors.
