CHENNAI, MARCH 29 . After the high drama along the Chennai coastline following the tsunami alert on Monday night, the scene along the coast was normal on Tuesday. Kamarajar Salai was free of the barricades put up the previous night to divert vehicles and the fisherfolk of Nochikuppam near the Light House and residents along the coastline behind the Foreshore Estate were asleep in their beds, just 100 metres away from the sea. The beach provided the clearest indication that all was well: people out for a walk at midnight were breathing the salubrious air and the fishermen near the Light House were busy getting their nets ready for the next day.
