COIMBATORE, MARCH 29 . The Collector, S. Kosalaraman, has asked voters to cooperate with enumerators in furnishing details of the photo voter identity card. In a release, the Collector pointed out that enumerators had brought to the notice of the administration that some of the voters did not furnish the details, forcing repeated trips to the same house. Some of the voters who had received the ID cards at their earlier address had told enumerators that they did not have any card. "Such a declaration is false and misleading, and would affect the accuracy of the electoral roll revision". The Collector said that the electorate that the cards had validity irrespective of the change of address. If the enumerators had completed the work in their area, the electorate hailing from Perur and Singanallur Assembly Constituencies were requested to approach the South taluk office and those from Thondamuthur constituency to approach the Coimbatore North taluk office to furnish the details. Similarly, those from Coimbatore West and East Assembly Constituencies could approach the Coimbatore Corporation's East and West Zone offices and furnish the details.
Full pace
The work for revising the electoral rolls was on in full pace in the remaining Mettuppalayam, Avanashi, Tirupur, Palladam, Pongalur, Kinathukkadavu, Pollachi, Valparai, Udumalpet and, Dharapuram (Erode District) segments. People who had migrated into these constituencies from other places (district/State) were requested to avail themselves of Form 6 and fill in the details. All the taluk offices were provided with adequate number of these copies. If the enumerators had left out any house so far, the residents could inform the Commissioner on 0422-2396026 or the Election Branch of the Corporation on 0422-2399319, a release said.
