Annan absolved

UNITED NATIONS, MARCH 29. An independent panel probing the oil-for-food programme in Iraq today absolved the U.N. Secretary General, Kofi Annan, of any wrongdoing in granting contract to Swiss firm Cotecna. However, it blamed him for the ``inadequate'' inquiry into his son, Kojo's role in the company. — PTI
