Temperature
TIRUCHI, MARCH 29. The city today registered a maximum temperature of 36.6 degree Celsius and a minimum of 26.7 degree Celsius.
Postponed
Trains on this section will run as usual until further notice, a Southern Railway release issued here today said.
Demonstration
The demonstration was led by S. Veerasekaran, assistant general secretary. Their demands included the setting up of the sixth pay commission and immediate disbursement of House Rent Allowance arrears. The demonstrators also urged the railway administration to find a permanent solution to the drinking water problem in the Goldenrock railway colony and to modernise the railway hospital.
