27,259 students appear for SSLC exam

TIRUCHI, MARCH 29. A total number of 27,259 candidates in Tiruchi revenue district appeared for Tamil I paper on the first day of the SSLC public examinations, today.

Girl students (13,693) outnumbered boys (13,566) in the district. The examination was held at 109 centres in the educational districts of Tiruchi, Lalgudi and Musiri. Flying squads constituted by the respective District Educational Officers kept a vigil against malpractices at the examination centres. The Chief Educational Officer, R. Baskara Setupathi, visited four examination centres.
