Retired IPS officer faces arrest

HYDERABAD,
MARCH 29.
The Hyderabad police are getting ready to arrest a retired IPS officer for his alleged involvement in real estate disputes, it is learnt.
Sources said that incriminating evidence about the involvement of the former Inspector-General of Police was found following the arrest of a history-sheeter, Mohd. Sajuddin Taskeen, on Tuesday.
Taskeen reportedly admitted to investigators that the former IGP had aided and abetted him in illegal settlement of land disputes.
The police claimed to have arrested Taskeen at Masab Tank and seized a pistol with six live rounds, Rs. 4.70 lakhs in cash and a mobile from him.
