KUALA LUMPUR, MARCH 30. Hoping to encash the trend among Indian travellers to take to international travel for leisure, business and holidays, Indian Airlines has launched a daily flight from Delhi to Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur, offering as many as 2,030 seats every week. Even though Kuala Lumpur felt shocks of Monday's earthquake that hit northwest Indonesia, travel and aviation experts feel that the growth potential of tourism in the South East Asian destinations, including Malaysia, would remain unaffected. With tourism, hospitality and aviation sectors recovering after the December 26 tsunami , they said quakes like the one on Monday that triggered panic in Malaysia could dampen tourist arrivals for some time. But, they said, the trend of increased tourist inflow to Kuala Lumpur would continue as travellers looked for destinations other than Phuket in Thailand.
