Strike postponed

RAIPUR, MARCH 30. About 17,000 employees of Chhattisgarh State Electricity Board (CSEB) today postponed their one-day strike scheduled tomorrow following agreement between the trade union and the management.

"The trade unions have postponed their agitation after an agreement was reached with them," CSEB Chairman Rajib Ranjan said here.

After reaching agreement with the leaders of the Chhattisgarh Vidyut Karmachari Abiyanta Samanmaya Samito, Ranjan said it had been agreed not to implement before June 1, the Electricity Act passed by Parliament in 2003. -- PTI
