Binoj in last eight

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, MARCH 30. M. Binoj Mani moved into the quarterfinals of the TCTDS open tennis tournament with a comfortable 6-0, 6-2 win over S. Rajeev at the TTC courts here on Wednesday. Sarath Lal and S.L. Arun also moved into the last eight with easy victories over V.K. Amal and Devassy Jose respectively.

The results (pre-quarterfinals):

Men: S.L. Arun bt Devassy Jose 6-2, 6-3; M. Binoj Mani bt S. Rajeev 6-0, 6-2; M.S. Sarath Lal bt V.K. Amal 6-1, 6-0.

Boys (under-18): Rajendran bt Asif Taj 9-3; G. Chandu bt V.K. Amal 9-1. Under-16: Mihir Pillai bt J. Achuth 9-1; G.L. Vivek bt Harris Chacko 9-1. Under-14: Swathy Kanth bt Mohammed Hamraz 8-1; Rohit Vijayan bt Karthik Narayan 8-5. Under-12: H. Suraj bt Adhithya Nair 9-1; Vignesh V. Gopal bt Aqeel Faheem 9-0; Solomon G. Thomas bt Vijay Sreekumar 9-0; Anand George bt Sachin Vinoth 9-2.

Girls (quarterfinals): Minu R. Raju bt Devi Krishna 8-2; Neelima Sanjai bt Apoorva Sara 8-1.
