Sri Lankan board offices sealed

COLOMBO, MARCH 30. The offices housing the Sri Lankan cricket board have been sealed as a newly-elected rebel committee and one appointed by the government shape up for an open confrontation for control of the country's richest sports body.

``I have been informed that the police are going to support and assist'' the members of the rival board appointed by the sports minister to take over the Sri Lanka Cricket offices, Thilanga Sumathipala, president of the newly-elected rebel board said in a letter made available on Wednesday. — AP
