Paritala murder: suspect's contradictory statements

By Our Staff Reporter

ANANTAPUR, MARCH 30. P. Narayana Reddy, a suspect in the Paritala Ravindra murder case, made contradictory statements before mediapersons today.

First, he turned hostile by claiming that Suri was in no way connected to the murder while speaking to a mediapersons at General Hospital here, where he was brought for treatment of the bullet wound he suffered on January 24.

"We killed Ravi, but not at the behest of Suri. We killed him to restore democracy in the district. We did not do it for money,'' he said. He evaded reply when asked why he along with M. Obi Reddy, V. Konda, V. Seena and V. Ranganayanakulu had claimed to have killed Ravi at the behest of Suri before their surrender in February first week.

Later, while speaking to newsmen on his return to the district jail, he did a volte face.
