By Our Staff Reporter
HYDERABAD,
MARCH 30.
A student of Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University committed suicide by consuming poison in his hostel room on Wednesday night.
P. Mahesh (22), a third year student of B.Sc. (Horticulture), did not turn up at the mess hall till 7 p.m. Mahesh's friends came to his room no. 249 in `B' hostel (B block) and knocked on the doors.
As there was no response, they broke open the door and saw Mahesh lying unconscious with froth coming from his mouth.
They immediately rushed him to a nearby private hospital where he was declared brought dead.
"Mahesh has apparently consumed some poison, but the motive behind the suicide is not yet known," the Rajendranagar ACP, B. Narsimhulu, said.
No suicide note was found in the room.
The victim was a native of Vatouti village in Bhainsa mandal of Adilabad district.
The victim's friends reportedly told the police that he appeared to be dejected for the past few days and looked depressed after attending a call on his mobile this afternoon.
