IMPHAL, MARCH 31. Five militants were today killed in an encounter with police at the Keibul Lamjao National Park in Bishnupur district in Manipur. The exchange of fire was on till late in the evening. Acting on a tip-off that militants were hiding in the 40-sq.km park, the commandos of the district raided it. There was an exchange of fire, but some militants managed to escape. On hearing the gunfire, terrified villagers fled. For a long time, militants have been taking shelter in the park.
