Southern holds Western

CHENNAI, MARCH 31. Southern Region drew with Western 2-2 in the Indian Airlines inter-region football tournament, which got underway at the Nehru stadium on Thursday.

Southern had led 2-1 at the half time.

Jayakumar scored both the goals for Southern while R. Gonsalves and Tushar Bhosle scored for Western.

The GM (P), Indian Airlines (Southern), K.M.A. Koshie inaugurated the tournament.
